DEAR COLLEAGUES,
We are pleased to inform you about the 6th International Symposium on Mining and Environmental Protection. The 6th International Symposium on Mining and Environmental Protection will be held on June 2017 in Vrdnik, Serbia, organized by the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Mining and Geology - CENTER FOR ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING.
Previous Conferences were very successful. Scientists and companies from many countries gathered to share experiences, information and research results. The objective of this Conference is to bring together engineers, scientists and managers working in mining industry, research organizations and government organizations, on development and application of best practice in mining industry in the respect of environment protection. Selected papers from previous Conference were published in a special issue of the journal Energies (ISSN 1996-1073) - by MDPI.
At the Conference in Vrdnik 2017 is expected a large number of scientists from Serbia and also foreign countries. The attendance of representatives from almost all Serbian mines is expected, as well as, a significant participation of professionals from mines, institutes and universities from all over the world.

Instructions for Authors
Submissions should be done by the authors online by registering with https://sciforum.net/conference/MEP17-6, and using the "REGISTER TO ATTEND" function once logged into system.
Authors interested in participating with the conference can submit their abstract (about 100-200 words covering the areas of manuscripts for the proceedings issue) online on this website until 15 April 2017.
The Conference Committee will pre-evaluate, based on the submitted abstract, whether a contribution from the authors of the abstract will be welcome for the 6 th International Symposium of Mining and Environmental Protection.
All authors will be notified by 22 April 2017 about the acceptance of their abstract.
If the abstract is accepted for this conference, the author is asked to submit his manuscript, until the submission deadline of 1 June 2017.
The Open Access Journal Minerals will publish selected papers as a Special Issue papers from the proceedings of the conference. After the conference, the Conference Committee will select manuscripts that may be included for publication in this Special Issue.

Vrdnik Spa is located on the southern slopes of Fruška Gora and it is the part of the National Park. It is 80 km from Belgrade and 24 km from Novi Sad. Vrdnik is the sunniest place in Vojvodina at 200 m above the sea level.It is an ecological oasis with abundant vegetation, which lies on the several well of thermal mineral water. That is the reason why experts decided to build a hotel "Thermal" in Vrdnik. The complex has outdoor swimming pool with thermal water temperature of 32.8 °C, two indoor pools, pearl baths, Finnish sauna, sports facilities, 260 beds and a conference hall.

The center was found on September 1995.
