Expression of Interest to Host the ISFMS Conference

The ISFMS Selection Committee seeks Expressions of Interest (EoI) from universities/institutions/individual scholars to host an edition of the ISFMS Conference Series. There is no restriction in the geographic areas considered.

What is the ISFMS?

The International Symposium on Frontiers in Molecular Science (ISFMS) is a conference series dedicated to bringing together scientists and leaders from different areas to discuss important recent developments in molecular science.

The First ISFMS was held in 2002 in Qingdao, China.
The Second ISFMS-Non-Coding RNAs and Epigenetics in Cancer was held in Basel, Switzerland, in 2017.
The Non-Coding RNAs and Epigenetics in Cancer edition aimed to highlight the most exciting developments and the latest breakthroughs in oncology, and brought together 129 participants from 43 countries. Please watch the promotional video.
The Third ISFMS-RNA Regulatory Networks will be held in Lisbon, Portugal, in June 2019.

Please note that the follow-on editions will not be restrained to the topics discussed in previous editions and, therefore, new and different topics within the molecular science field are sought.

Important Dates

The ISFMS is organized every two years. The ISFMS Selection Committee is accepting EoIs to organize editions from 2021 onwards.

Facts

Candidate institutions must have the ability to host and organize at least a three-day conference with 200-400 participants. This includes appropriate access to conference facilities, lodging, and transportation, as well as the ability to manage a range of supporting services (food services, internet services, and conference social events, etc.).

The candidate institutions and their local arrangements committee must have the means to support the costs of producing the conference through attendee registration, sponsoring, advertising and independent fundraising.

When necessary, and based on the input provided by the local host, MDPI staff will provide administrative support and help to manage the conference website on Sciforum. MDPI staff will also help to edit the abstracts, prepare the conference book, help to design the logos and banners for the conference website, flyers, posters, roll-ups, lanyards, conference bags, etc. following the style of previous Entropy edition.

MDPI will promote the conference edition on all relevant MDPI journals and any other relevant communication channels.
