Prof. Kyung Sun Lee

Short Biography

Kyung Sun Lee received a BA in Architecture from Hongik University and M.Arch I from UCLA. In 2010, she obtained a Doctor of Design in Architecture from Harvard University. She gained diverse architectural experience at firms such as Moore Ruble Yudell, HLW International, and Gwathmey & Siegel Associates in the United States. Currently, she is a professor at the School of Architecture, Hongik University, Seoul, South Korea, and leads the SUNe.lab, an architectural design research studio. She is interested in integrating scientific methods into architectural design, combining theory and practice. Her research and creative activities focus on sustainable design. She particularly emphasizes scientific and theoretical evidence of the impact of architectural and interior design on users and conducts interdisciplinary research to apply findings practically in architectural design.
