Dr Magnus Ramage holds a PhD in information systems from the University of Lancaster. He is a senior lecturer in information systems at The Open University, where he has worked since 2000, teaching systems thinking and sociotechnical IT systems. His research covers critical and dialogic approaches to the study of information, the history of systems thinking and cybernetics, and the organisational and social impact of collaborative technologies. He is the co-author of Systems Thinkers (2nd edition 2020, with Karen Shipp), and the co-editor of Perspectives on Information (2011, with David Chapman).
