Javier Pereira Loureiro, associate professor at the Faculty of Health Science from the Universidade da Coruña (UDC), Spain. He received his Msc in Computer Science from the UDC in 1995 and in 1997 he received his Master degree in Computer Science. He also received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the UDC in 2004. Currently he is deputy director of Research Center on Information and Communication Technologies (CITIC) and Head of Master of Bioinformatic.
His research interests include medical informatics, wearables and self-quantification. Participatory medicine.
