Undergraduate degree in Bacteriology (Microbiology), M.Sc in Molecular Biology of Parasitic Protozoa, Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology of Parasitic Protozoa. Expert in classical and OMIC ́s molecular techniques, DNA/RNA and proteins, in eukaryotes and prokaryotes. Founder of the first Colombian reference center for genomic analysis (National Center for Genomic Sequencing-CNSG, University of Antioquia). More than 80 published research papers, most of them in internationally recognized journals.
