Prof. Dr. Zhigang Wu

Zhigang Wu received his B.S. (2001) from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) and his Ph.D. (2005) in Mechanical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. He is currently a full professor at the State Key Laboratory of Digital Equipment and Manufacturing, HUST, China. Prior to his current position, he was an associate professor in the division of Microsystems Technology, Uppsala University, Sweden, and held a research fellowship at the Swedish Research Council (SRC). His research interests are concentrated on the fabrication and integration technologies of soft electronics and smart machines for various applications, e.g., in surgical medicine, industrial fields, life sciences, rehabilitation, and home healthcare. He also serves as an editorial board member in the Journal of Micromechanics and Microengineering, Institute of Physics, UK; Micromachines, MDPI; and Soft Science, OAE publishing; and is a guest editor for Material Today Physics, Elsevier.

Short Biography
