Maria Pesavento received the M.S. degree in chemistry from the University of Pavia, Pavia, Italy, in 1972. Since 1994, she has been a Professor of Analytical Chemistry at Milano University, Como, Italy, and then at Pavia University, Pavia. She has authored and co-authored over 130 original scientific publications. Her current research interests include chemical equilibria, speciation analysis, adsorption equilibria and separation by distribution between phases, and chemosensors with biomimetical receptors.
