Andrea Trabocchi is Associate Professor of Organic Chemistry at the University of Florence, Italy, where his research is focused in the area of diversity-oriented synthesis and peptidomimetic chemistry. He is also involved in molecular imaging projects, and medicinal chemistry concerning peptidomimetic ligands of integrins and inhibitors of BACE-1 and MMPs. He obtained a PhD in Chemical Sciences in 2003 from the University of Florence, and received training on peptide chemistry at the Imperial College, UK from Prof. Leatherbarrow. He published about 80 papers and filed 4 patents. Also, he edited a book about Diversity Oriented Synthesis (Wiley, 2013), a book on Small Molecule Drug Discovery (Elsevier, 2019) and authored a book on Peptidomimetics (Wiley, 2014).
