Prof. Florenci V. González obtained his PhD at Universitat Jaume I (Spain) in 1995. Between 1997 and 1999 he completed three postdoctoral stays in the United States of America at Indiana University, University of Michigan and Colorado State University. From 1998-2000 he was Assistant Professor at University Jaume I, and since 2001 he has been Associate Professor of Organic Chemistry at UJI. His research interests are the discovery of new chemical reactions and the design and synthesis of new chemical compounds against infectious diseases. He has published more than 50 international papers, he is coauthor of three patents, and he has been a visiting professor at the University of Bath (UK) and Northwestern University (Chicago, EEUU). Currently he is the Director of the Inorganic and Organic Chemistry Department of University Jaume I (Spain).
