Jandro L. Abot received his B.E. degree from the Universidad de la República, Uruguay, in 1992, and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Northwestern University, U.S.A., in 1998 and 2000, respectively. From 2003 to 2009, he was an assistant professor at the University of Cincinnati, U.S.A. Since 2010, he has been a professor at The Catholic University of America, U.S.A. His research interests are in carbon nanotube fibers, sensors, composite materials, and applied mechanics
