José M. Pingarrón is Full Professor of Analytical Chemistry and member of the group “Electroanalysis and electrochemical(bio)sensors” at Complutense University of Madrid. His research lines include the development of nanostructured electrochemical platforms (enzyme, immuno- and genosensors) for single or multiplexed determination of relevant biomarkers. He is Senior Honorary Advisor of the Journal Electroanalysis and, since 2017, Fellow of the International Society of Electrochemistry. Currently he holds the position of Secretary General of Universities in the Spanish Government.
