Prof. Tie Jun Cui

Short Biography

Tie Jun Cui received his Ph.D. degree from Xidian University, China, in 1993. He was an Alexander von Humboldt Foundation Research Fellow at the University of Karlsruhe, Germany (2005–2007), and a Postdoctoral Research Associate (1997–2000) and Research Scientist (2001–2002) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA. In 2002, he joined the Department of Radio Engineering, Southeast University, China, as Cheung-Kong Professor. Currently, he is the Chief Professor of Southeast University, the Director of the State Key Laboratory of Millimeter Waves, and the Founding Director of the Institute of Electromagnetic Space, Southeast University. He is the Academician of Chinese Academy of Science and an IEEE Fellow. In 2019–2021, he was ranked in the top 1% for the highly cited papers in the field of physics by the Clarivate Web of Science (Highly Cited Researcher). His research interests include metamaterials and computational electromagnetics.
