Antonella D'Alessandro is an Assistant Professor of Structural Design (ICAR/09) at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of University of Perugia where she currently teaches Structures Design, Smart materials for Construction Engineering, Rehabilitation of structures, and Smart Materials for Interactive Environments and Intelligent Structures in the PhD program. Her research activity involves both the organization and development of specific theoretical and applied research topics, and scientific dissemination activities, through participation in invited seminars, conferences, national and international publications. She is author of more than 100 papers among national, international journals and conferences. Reviewer for more than 40 international journals. In the Editorial Board five international journals. Editor of four Special Issues for MDPI. Reviewer of four editorial proposals (international books) for Elsevier. Editor in 2020 of a scientific book. Reviewer of five European projects. Member and investigator of national and international projects. Her research topics are in the monitoring of the integrity of existing buildings with particular reference to the identification of damage induced by earthquakes, and the development and characterization of innovative multifunctional and sustainable structural materials (self-sensing, recycled, high efficient), cement-based, brick-based or geopolymers.
