Sibel A. Ozkan received her pharmacy degree in 1985. She became a full professor at the same university in 2003. Her research focus is the electrochemical investigation of pharmaceutically active compounds, DNA biosensors, and modified electrodes. She is the Regional (Europa) Editor of "Current Pharmaceutical Analysis". She is a member of the Editorial Board of "Talanta", "Chromatographia", the "Journal of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis", the "Journal of Analytical Methods in Chemistry", and others. She has authored and edited books titled “Electroanalytical Methods in Pharmaceutical Analysis and Their Validation” and “Electroanalysis in Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, (Voltammetry, Amperometry, Biosensors, Applications)”. She received the Ankara University Scientific Promotion Award in 2003 and the Turkish Pharmaceutical Association, Academy of Pharmacy Science Award in 2008. She is the author or co-author of more than 200 published papers.
