György Keglevich graduated from the Technical University of Budapest in 1981 as a chemical engineer. He was awarded the Doctor of Chemical Science degree in 1994, on the subject of organophosphorus chemistry. He is a P-heterocyclic chemist. He also deals with environmentally friendly chemistry, MW chemistry, phase transfer catalysis, and the development of new catalysts. He is the author or co-author of ca. 650 papers (the majority of which have appeared in international journals). He has written ca. 40 book chapters and ca. 60 review articles. His two books are OPC—Novel Developments and Milestones in MW Chemistry. He is a member of the Editorial Board of Molecules (Green Chemical section); Green Processing and Synthesis; Phosphorus, Sulfur, and Silicon and the Related Elements; and Current Microwave Chemistry. He is an associate editor for Heteroatom Chemistry, Letters in Drug Design & Discovery, Current Organic Synthesis, and Letters in Organic Chemistry and the editor-in-chief of Current Organic Chemistry, Current Green Chemistry, as well as Symmetry (Chemical section). He is a member of the Steering Committee of the International Conference on Phosphorus Chemistry and arranged ICPC 22 in Budapest/Hungary in 2018.
