Prof. Guangshun Wang

Dr. Guangshun Wang is an associate professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He is interested in the identification, characterization, prediction, and design of novel antimicrobials to combat drug-resistant pathogens, including bacteria, fungi, and viruses. Both structural biology and the antimicrobial peptide database (https://aps.unmc.edu) are utilized to design interesting peptides with topical/systemic efficacy. Dr. Wang has published over 100 original articles, reviews, book chapters, and patents. He has also edited Special Issues and several books on antimicrobial peptides.
