Dr. Fabien Salaün is an Associate Professor and Research Supervisor at the MTP (Multifunctional Textiles & Processes) Group. With a focus on polymer and materials synthesis, Dr. Fabien Salaün specializes in the microencapsulation and nanoencapsulation of active substances, surface functionalization for enhanced textile properties, thermal comfort, melt spinning, and fibers. He is dedicated to developing new synthetic methodologies and strategies for the design of smart materials. Dr. Fabien Salaün has supervised numerous PhD theses and postdoctoral studies. He has also served as a jury member for PhD and HDR (Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches) defenses. Dr. Fabien Salaün has been involved in various research projects, both as a coordinator and a local coordinator, including regional and national projects such as TESTE, TRIBAL, PHOTOCOAT, TACTIL, FOMOTEX, and ACHILLE. He has also participated in projects like DROMOS and SMDTex.
