Prof. Antonello BARRESI

Antonello A. Barresi is currently full Professor of Transport phenomena at Politecnico di Torino, and he is in charge of the course of Process Design and Development. He graduated in Chemical Engineering in 1985 and obtained a PhD in Chemical Engineering in 1990 at Politecnico di Torino (Italy). He was a visiting Researcher at Yale University (CT, USA) and visiting Professor at Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 (France) in 1999 and 2002. His research, both modelling and experimental, is focused on drying and freeze-drying, mixing and production of nanostructured material for pharmaceutic applications, monitoring and control. He is the author of more than 250 papers and more than 100 conference presentations, and has 6 patents. He was a national delegate for Italy (AIDIC) in the Working party on Drying of EFCE and winner of an award for excellence in drying by AFSIA at IDS in 2018.
