Erik Dahlquist is has been Chair Professor of Energy Technology at Mälardalen University since 2000. He has a background in ABB, where he worked from 1975 to 2002 (part time 2000–2002) in project management in the energy and automation field, and the last five years as the global general manager for the product responsible unit “Advanced control, simulation, optimization and special sensors” within the pulp and paper sector at ABB Process Automation. At Mälardalen University, he was Research Director from 2000 to 2018 and built the research profile Future Energy Center (FEC). He is member of IVA, the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences; and a member of the editorial board of the Applied Energy journal and conference and MDPI Energies. He received his PhD from KTH, where he also was adjunct professor from 1997 to 2000 (part time). H-index 39. ORCID (http://orcid.org/0000-0002-7233-6916).
