Prof. Dr. Jure Margeta P.E. Birthday: 6 June 1950, Osijek, Croatia. Current status: Professor Emeritus at the University of Split, Croatia. Ph.D. Graduate of the University of Zagreb, Croatia, 1983. Major subject: water resources engineering. Ph.D. study completed at Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colorado, 1982. Professional: Teaching, researching, consulting, and designing in the field of water resources, urban water systems, environmental engineering water heritage, and Roman water systems. Experience: From 1978 to 2020, employed by the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture, and Geodesy Split. Worked as lecturer and head of department in the Department of Water Resources and Environmental Engineering teaching graduate courses and conducting research, planning, and designing projects in water resource system engineering, urban water systems planning and management, and water resources planning and management. Served as principal and co-principal investigator for research and engineering projects in urban water system management and water resources system engineering. Guest lecturer at the University of Zagreb, Croatia, Mostar and Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and shortly at Colorado State University. From 1984 to 2000, completed part-time work for the UNEP-MAP/PAP Center managing the Priority Action Program for water resource management in the Mediterranean Region. Also worked as a consultant for Banks and as an EU scientific projects evaluator.
