Dr. Njogu M. Kimani

Njogu M. Kimani is a Lecturer at the Department of Physical Sciences, University of Embu. He received his BSc in Chemistry from Maseno University in 2011, his MSc in Chemistry from Egerton University in 2014, and earned his Dr. rer. nat. from the Institute of Pharmaceutical Biology and Phytochemistry, Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster in 2019. He is also an Alexander von Humboldt fellow at the Helmholtz Center for Infection Research, Braunschweig, Germany, and the Institute of Organic and Analytical Chemistry, University of Bremen, Germany. He is a member of the Society for Medicinal Plant and Natural Product Research (GA), The Natural Products Research Network for Eastern and Central Africa (NAPRECA), and the Research Network Natural Products against Neglected Diseases (ResNet NPND). His research interests include the isolation and structural elucidation of bioactive natural products from plants and microorganisms; the structure–activity relationships of bioactive natural products; computer-aided drug design; and the development of natural product nanoformulations for pharmaceutical applications.

Njogu M. Kimani is a Lecturer at the Department of Physical Sciences, University of Embu.
