Magdalini Krokida is an Associate Professor at the Laboratory of Process Analysis and Design, School of Chemical Engineering, Associate Professor, National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Athens, Greece. She has been a member of the Laboratory of Process Analysis and Design since 2002. Her field of expertise covers the design and optimization of physical processes, the design and development of new products (especially foods), the determination of the thermophysical properties of materials, as well as evaluation of the economic and environmental impact of several products and processes. She has considerable publishing activity, including two books, seven chapters in international publications, and many articles in international “peer-reviewed” journals. She has participated in numerous research projects, both as a scientific advisor and as a researcher. She is a reviewer in 10 international journals and has participated as a member of the organizing committee in several scientific Congresses. Since 2010, she has been a representative for Greece at the International Scientific Committee of Drying (EFCF Working Party on Drying) and is an ambassador of the Global Harmonization Initiative (GHI) in Greece.
