David Almorza-Gomar is Profesor Titular de Universidad at the Department of Statistics and Operational Research at the University of Cádiz in Spain. In 1998, he obtained a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics from the University of Cádiz. He has been working for two years as the Director of Processing and Data Analysis at the Environmental Agency (Junta de Andalucía, Spain). His previous interests were environmental statistics, statistics and genetics, and probability distributions. His current research interests are education, happiness, and applied statistics to sports. In 2020, he was awarded the medal of the Genetic Society of Argentina.
