Ms. Peace MusongeGhent University
Ms. Peace Musonge is a scientist Uganda. She graduated with honors from Makerere University, Uganda, with a BS in food science and technology. She has a MS degree in human nutrition and rural development from Ghent University and an advanced MS in water technology and integrated management from Antwerp University, Belgium and is currently studying for a PhD in applied bio sciences at University of Ghent, Belgium. She is working on developing a cost effective biotic index for water quality assessment in Uganda. Peace is a Mandela Washington Fellow, UC-Berkeley Goldman School of Public Policy Fellow and Schlumberger faculty of the future fellow. She interned with the world resources institute (WRI) in DC. Peace was voted 9th in top 40 Ugandan women under 40. She has worked on international scientific and development projects in Asia, South America, Europe and Africa where she collaborated with multidisciplinary teams. She is passionate about using science and technology to engage and improve the livelihoods of communities.
