Dr Omotola Babajide is a seasoned academic in the fields of science education, environmental and Nano sciences as well as in renewable and sustainable energy studies specifically- biodiesel catalytic systems. She obtained her Ph.D. in Chemistry at the University of the Western Cape in 2012 in South Africa. Her expertise within the academic enterprise span over a decade; as a trained higher educator while lecturing at the Adeyemi University of Education Ondo, Nigeria; and then as a doctoral teaching/research associate (2009-2012) and then as a post-doctoral fellow where she was the pioneer researcher to carry out catalytic tests and applications of hierarchically novel structured zeolites synthesized from South African waste coal fly ash for biofuels synthesis. A research based on an Eskom Innovation project on zeolites synthesis from fly ash at the Environmental and Nano Sciences Research group, Chemistry department, University of the Western Cape, South Africa.
