Nicholas Musyoka

Nicholas Musyoka is currently a senior research scientist at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in South Africa. He previously worked as a post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Western Cape (South Africa), as a costing and efficiency officer at the Bata Shoe Company (Kenya) and also as an intern facilitator at the Digital Opportunity Trust in Kenya. He holds a PhD degree in chemistry and some other certificate courses. He has experience in research, supervision and mentorship of junior employees/students as well as the ability to generate new knowledge as exemplified by several scientific publications and patent applications. Dr Musyoka has been presented with awards from his research activities such as; Emerging researcher award from the CSIR, oral presentation awards, best poster presentation awards and several grants such as a DAAD scholarship, British Council travel grant and Poland-South Africa collaboration funding. Dr Musyoka is a member of the South African Chemical Institute (SACI), Royal Society of Chemistry (MRSC) and also a registered Professional Natural Scientist (Pr.Nat.Sci.). He is also a NRF Rated scientist and acts as a reviewer for several international scientific journals and funding bodies.
