Rhoda Malgas joined Stellenbosch University after 5 years at a local NGO supporting small-scale rooibos farmers in the Northern Cape province of South Africa. Her PhD research is focused on small-scale production of rooibos and honeybush as indigenous crop species amongst small-sacle land-users. Apart from her academic interests in Social-Ecological Systems, Sustainable Agriculture and Sustainable Management of Natural Resources, she also contributes to innovative teaching methods and the development of curricula for the advancement of graudate attributues in the Biodiversity sector at the level of Higher Education.
