Felix is professor of energy economics at Brandenburg University of Technology. His research focuses on energy markets, industrial organization and operations research. Felix published numerous articles in scientific journals. He performed scientific consulting projects for the European Union, government ministries, DFG, BDI, VGB as well as German and international companies. Research projects covered a broad range from market design, trading and risk management to long term investment and pricing signals. Felix holds a Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Risk Management in Cologne. During his Ph.D. studies, he spent one semester in the Energy Policy Research Group (EPRG) at Cambridge University. He has industry experience from working on Trianel’s trading floor and in consulting as co-founder and partner of r2b energy consulting. In 2015, Felix spent a sabbatical at the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies (OIES).
