Prof. Fritz Bopp

Fritz W. Bopp was born in Hechingen (Germany) and studied at the LMU University in Munich, the University of Arizona, and the University of Illinois. He received his Ph.D. in 1973 at the University of Illinois. He has held postdoctoral positions at the Universities of Bielefeld and Siegen. He has had numerous, shorter research stays at the research centers CERN in Geneva, LAPP in Annecy, and LPTHE in Orsay. He was a guest professor at the University of Houston. He received habilitation in 1978, was a professor in 1983, and since 2010, has been a professor emeritus at the University of Siegen. He has numerous publications in multiparticle phenomenology and has authored the textbooks: "Kerne, Hadronen und Elementarteilchen" Stuttgart: Teubner, 1989, "Kerne, Hadronen und Elementarteilchen" (in Russian) Moskau: MIR, 1999, "Kerne, Hadronen und Elementarteilchen - Eine kurze Einführung" Berlin Heidelberg: Springer Spektrum, 2015.
