Honglong Chang

Short Biography

Honglong Chang was born in the Henan Province, China. He received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU), Xi’an, China in 1999, 2002, and 2005, respectively. He is currently a Professor at the MOE Key Laboratory of Micro and Nano Systems for Aerospace, NPU, where he is also currently the dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering. From Oct. 2011 to Nov. 2012, he was a Visiting Associate (Faculty) at the Micromachining Laboratory, California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, USA. His research interests include MEMS physical sensors, microfluidics, etc. Prof. Chang has published more than 60 international peer-reviewed journal papers and more than 42 international conference papers in the MEMS field. He was a recipient of the Transducer 2015 Outstanding Paper Finalist Award, the MEMS 2016 Outstanding Paper Award, the IEEE Sensors 2017 Best Paper, and the MEMS 2018 Outstanding Paper Finalist Award.
