Junfeng Song received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Jilin University, Changchun, China, in 1993 and 2000, respectively. He was employed as a professor by Jilin University in 2004 and as a doctoral supervisor in 2005. From 2006 to 2016, he worked as a senior researcher at Singapore Microelectronics Research Institute, mainly engaged in the research of silicon-based optoelectronic-integrated devices. He is now a professor at the College of Electronic Science and Engineering, Jilin University. His current research interests include the development of optoelectronic-integrated all-solid-state LiDAR, the design of silicon-based optoelectronic-integrated quantum communication chips, and the development of a novel silicon-based optoelectronic-integrated device.
