Prof. Alexander Ploss

Prof. Dr. Alexander Ploss received his master’s degree in immunology/biochemistry at the University of Tübingen in 2001 and obtained his doctorate in Immunology from the Weill Graduate School Medical Sciences of Cornell University/Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in 2004. Then, he was a Postdoctoral Associate/Fellow at Rockefeller University from 2005 to 2008. Currently, Dr. Ploss holds the endowed Harry C. Wiess Professorship in the Life Sciences in the Department of Molecular  Biology of Princeton University and is a full member of the Cancer Institute of New Jersey. His research areas are virology and immunology, and he is focused on human hepatotropic (viral) pathogens.
