On behalf of the Asian-Australasian Association for Composite Materials, we welcome you to the 14th Asian-Australasian Conference on Composite Materials (ACCM 2026) to be held on 14 - 17 July 2026 in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, a city that offers a unique mix of modern facilities, seafront promenades, and rich cultural heritage. Building on the success of previous ACCM series since its inception until the recent ACCM12 (Hangzhou) and ACCM13 (Kyoto), ACCM 2026 returns to Malaysia aiming to be the primary venue for academics, researchers, engineers, and industry practitioners to share advances in composite materials across Asia, Australasia and the world.

Prof. Ir. Dr. Mariatti Jaafar is currently the Director of the Engineering Campus at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), a position she has held since 2025. A dedicated academic at USM since 2002 , she previously served as the Dean of the School of Materials & Mineral Resources Engineering (2022–2024) and as Deputy Dean in various capacities between 2016 and 2021. Her area of specialization includes polymers, polymer blends, fiber-reinforced polymer composites, and nanocomposites for electronic applications. Her recent research interests also extend to conductive inks, electronic packaging, and tissue engineering scaffolds. She holds a PhD and B.Eng from Universiti Sains Malaysia, as well as a Licentiate Degree from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden. Prof. Mariatti is a recognized leader in her field, listed among Stanford University's World's Top 2% Scientists (2023–2025). Her other accolades include the Malaysia Research Star Award (2017), the Distinguished Women in Engineering Award (2017), and recognition as a Top Research Scientist Malaysia (2014). She maintains a significant academic impact with an H-index of 56 on Google Scholar and over 12,000 citations.

Kota Kinabalu (KK), the capital of Sabah on the island of Borneo, is a coastal city surrounded by lush rainforests and sandy beaches. The venue of ACCM 2026 is Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC). SICC is the largest waterfront purpose-built convention, exhibition and entertainment facility in East Malaysia. It is situated on the seafront next to the Kota Kinabalu Port along Jalan Tun Fuad Stephens towards Tanjung Lipat. It is 11km from airport.
