Prof. Dr. Grigoris Kaltsas

MicroSENSES Laboratory, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, University of West Attica, Athens, Greece;
Dr. Grigoris Kaltsas is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of West Attica. He has led and participated in numerous European and national research projects, collaborating with various foundations, industries, and research groups across Europe. He has authored over 200 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences and holds five patents, including two PCTs. Dr. Kaltsas has served on multiple committees and boards in the fields of electronics, microsystems, and sensors. He is a member of international program committees for major conferences on Sensors and Micro-Nano Devices and has delivered invited talks worldwide. He is also an active reviewer for leading journals and heads the microSENSES Laboratory (https://microsenses.eee.uniwa.gr/).

Dr. Haotian Chen

Dr. Haotian Chen

Biomedical Engineering Division, James Watt School of Engineering, University of Glasgow;
Dr Haotian Chen is a lecturer (Assistant Professor) of Biomedical Engineering at the James Watt School of Engineering at the University of Glasgow, United Kingdom. He obtained his PhD, focusing on stretchable electronic systems, at Peking University in 2018. After that, he worked as a research scientist at EPFL, Switzerland under Prof. Stephanie Lacour from 2019 to 2022, to study the application of soft electronics in neuroprosthetics. Prior to joining the University of Glasgow in July 2023, he was a junior professor at CNRS-IEMN, France. His research focuses on the soft electronics and their applications in human sensorimotor system. Inspired by physiology and neuroscience, he has developed innovative, soft, and biocompatible electronic devices (sensors and actuators) interfacing with human body to study the interaction processes between humans and their environment quantitatively. His work aims to advance the next generation of rehabilitation equipment, prosthetics, robotic touch, etc. enabling a natural interconnection from artificial devices to human.
