4th Designs Webinar

Additive Manufacturing—Medical Device Design and Manufacturing

Dear colleagues, distinguished speakers, and guests,

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to this Designs webinar entitled “Additive Manufacturing—Medical Device Design and Manufacturing.” Additive manufacturing is increasingly reshaping the way medical devices are designed, developed, and produced, enabling new levels of customization, design complexity, and patient-specific functionality. From advanced design methodologies and digital workflows to the fabrication of personalized implants, surgical tools, and biomedical components, this field continues to open important opportunities for innovation in healthcare and medical engineering.

This webinar aims to bring together experts working at the intersection of design, additive manufacturing, and medical technology, offering insights into current advances, practical challenges, and future directions. Particular attention will be given to how design-driven approaches can support the development of safer, more efficient, and more personalized medical solutions.

On behalf of Designs, I would like to warmly thank our invited speakers for sharing their expertise and all participants for joining us. I hope that today’s presentations and discussion will stimulate fruitful exchange and contribute to further collaboration in this rapidly evolving field.
