We invite you to attend in the Entomological Conference 2027, Arthropod Decline and Non-Destructive Methods, to be held in Budapest, Hungary, on 28 September–1 October 2027.
This conference is organized the MDPI open access journal Insects (ISSN 2075-4450, IF:3.0) and will bring together leading researchers, scientists, and professionals from academia, nature protection agencies, and NGOs to discuss the latest developments, challenges, and opportunities concerning the state of arthropods globally, with particular focus on arthropod decline and its implications.
The scientific program will cover a broad range of timely and impactful topics, including (but not restricted to) the following:
- Arthropod Decline (AD);
- Non-Destructive Methods in Entomology: Current Situation and Prospects;
- Pest Management, Pesticide Resistance, and Toxicology;
- Biodiversity, Climate Change, Conservation, Ecology, and Evolution;
- Ethical Issues in Entomology;
- General Topics.
The conference will feature invited plenary lectures, selected oral presentations, and poster sessions, giving participants the opportunity to share their latest research findings and engage in meaningful scientific discussions. Meet Our Chair
Department of Agroecology, Aarhus University, Flakkebjerg Research Centre, Denmark;Anthropocene Ecology Research Group, Department of Ecology, University of Debrecen, Hungary;Prof. Gábor Lövei is a terrestrial ecologist whose research focuses on invasion biology, agroecology, conservation biology, biodiversity, environmental biosafety, and ornithology. Over the past 35 years, he has conducted ecological research on vertebrates and invertebrates across Europe, East Africa, New Zealand, and China. His current work explores invasion ecology, ecosystem services, the impacts of agricultural practices, landscape management, urbanisation, and the environmental effects of transgenic plants. Prof. Lövei has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed scientific publications and numerous book chapters and reports. He has served as an advisor to several national and international organizations and is a member of the European Academy of Sciences.
