Welcome from
the chair

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the 1st International Online Conference on Informatics (IOCIF 2027). This event will bring together researchers, academics and professionals from around the world to share the latest advances, innovations and applications in the field of informatics. The conference will take place online from 6 to 7 December 2027 (CET), organized by the MDPI journal Informatics (ISSN: 2227-9709, IF 5.1).

The conference aims to provide a global platform for researchers and practitioners to exchange ideas, discuss emerging challenges and present recent research achievements across various areas of informatics. The program will include, but is not limited to, the following session topics:

S1. Generative AI;
S2. Machine Learning and Big Data Analytics;
S3. Human–Computer Interaction and Social Informatics;
S4. Health and Clinical Informatics.

We warmly invite researchers to submit their abstracts and share their latest research with the international informatics community. All submissions will undergo MDPI’s standard peer-review process. Participants will be encouraged to submit a full manuscript to the conference’s Special Issue in Informatics with a 10% APC discount, subject to the journal’s standard editorial and peer-review procedures.

To acknowledge the valuable contributions of our participants and recognize outstanding scientific achievements, the conference will provide Best Oral Presentation Awards and Best Poster Awards (6 in total). The winners will receive a certificate and 200 CHF in recognition of their achievements.

We look forward to your valuable contributions to IOCIF 2027 and to welcoming researchers from around the world for an engaging exchange of ideas, knowledge, and perspectives in the rapidly evolving field of informatics.

Best regards,
