MDPI will be launching our new MDPI Central Asia Webinar Series, where we hope to create a platform for researchers and experts from Central Asia to share their latest research, insights, and perspectives, on topics including, but not limited to, issues related to Central Asia and its broader regional and global connections.
In this inaugural webinar session, we invite Dr. Janay Sagin to share insights into climate technologies and innovations being investigated for adaptation in Kazakhstan, supported by the Kazakhstan Ministry of Science and Higher Education through the Program-Targeted Funding Project No. BR27197639.
The project focuses on innovations aimed at reducing the impacts of floods and droughts. These efforts are also aligned with initiatives by the President of Kazakhstan to strengthen the UN Water Initiative with Kazakhstan and coordinate related programs, including the Glacier–Water–Ocean initiative, which the project aims to expand.
