Keynote Speakers
Quantum Phase Space Entropy and the Arrow of Time
Davi Geiger got a BA in Physics at PUC-RJ, Brasil, a Ph.D. in Physics at MIT (with a thesis developed at the AI lab at MIT), and is a professor at the Courant Institute School of Mathematics, Computing, and Data Science (the new name since November 2025). His main interests have been physics and vision (human perception and computer vision/AI). Earlier in his career he received the National Science Foundation award for young investigator.
The Quanta of Action and Entropy in Real and Imaginary Thermodynamic Time
Dr. Michael C. Parker is a Research Fellow at the University of Essex with a PhD from the University of Cambridge. He spent a decade at Fujitsu before pioneering the application of thermodynamic principles to computation and communication, including developing the dBε energy efficiency metric and founding Quantitative Geometrical Thermodynamics (QGT). QGT has been used for physics calculations and to explain natural geometries. He has managed numerous European and UK projects, including AirQKD, QAssure, CHARISMA, SAMBAS, and CIRCUBATT. Dr. Parker holds over 20 patents and has published more than 170 papers. His interests also include optical networking, 5G/6G technologies, optical fibers, and quantum cryptography and computation. He is a Chartered Engineer and a member of several professional organizations.
