Welcome to this webinar dedicated to uterine closure at cesarean delivery, with a particular focus on the role of barbed sutures. During the meeting, we will move from surgical principles and standardized closure techniques to uterine scar healing, elective and intrapartum cesarean delivery, assessment of the lower uterine segment in a subsequent pregnancy, future reproductive and obstetric outcomes, and enhanced recovery. The final session will place these topics within the evolving evidence base and highlight the questions that remain open for clinical practice and research.
