Her research focuses on advanced functional thin films and nanostructured metal oxides (ZnO, WO₃, V₂O₅, TiO₂), hybrid nanocomposites with carbon allotropes for EMI shielding, photocatalysis, sensing, and optoelectronic applications. She has extensive expertise in 3D structuring and low-cost deposition techniques such as spray pyrolysis and electrospinning, as well as in integrating active materials into sensors, coatings, and flexible devices. Dr. Suchea holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Crete and a B.Sc. in Physics–Biophysics from the University of Bucharest. She is the author of over 140 ISI-indexed publications, editor or guest editor for high-impact journals (Surfaces and Interfaces, Nanomaterials, Coatings), and co-editor of several scientific books. She has coordinated or participated in numerous European, NATO, Greek, and Romanian R&D projects and has received multiple international awards, including the Women in Nanoscience Award (2022). Dr. Suchea is also the founder and chair of the international workshop series Advances on Photocatalysis. In addition to her scientific career, Dr. Suchea is an active NanoArt artist, Europe Director of NanoArt 21, and curator of several international NanoArt exhibitions.
