He previously served as Head of the National Cybersecurity Authority of Greece. He holds multiple advanced degrees, including a PhD from the University of Thessaly and a PhD from the University of Huddersfield specializing in SCADA intrusion detection systems. He is ranked among the top 0.1% of highly cited researchers by Clarivate and the top 2% of scientists by Stanford University. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE and has authored over 300 scientific publications.
Department of Information Engineering, University of Brescia, Italy
Ivan Serina is an Associate Professor in Information Processing Systems at the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Brescia, Italy. His research focuses on artificial intelligence, with particular interests in planning, case-based planning, autonomous agents, machine learning, deep learning, neural networks, knowledge representation, and water management applications. He was awarded a Marie Curie Fellowship in Planning and Scheduling at the University of Strathclyde in 2003. He also received international recognition through the 3rd and 4th International Planning Competitions, where the planners LPG and LPG-td, developed with his collaborators, were awarded for their distinguished performance. He is the author or co-author of more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and has served in several international scientific roles, including Associate Editor of AI Communications, Editorial Board Member of Future Internet, and member of major conference program committees.
Department of Information Engineering, University of Florence, Italy
Lorenzo Mucchi (M’98-SM’12) received a Laurea in telecommunications engineering and a Ph.D. in telecommunications and information society from the University of Florence, Italy, in 1998 and in 2001, respectively. He is an Associate Professor at the University of Florence, Italy. His research interests involve the theory and experimentation of wireless systems and networks including physical-layer security, visible light communications, ultra-wideband techniques, body area networks, and interference management. Dr. Mucchi is serving as an Associate Editor of IEEE Trans on Communications, IEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics and IEEE Access, and he is Editor-in-Chief of the EAI Endorsed Transaction on Body Area Networks (since 2026) and Elsevier Academic Press (2013). He is chair (since 2022) of the European Telecommunications Standard Institute (ETSI) Smart Body Area Network (SmartBAN) technical committee, and he is an IEEE ComSoc distinguished lecturer (2025-2026).
