2nd Coatings Webinar

Smart Textiles for a Brilliant Future

On behalf of the webinar chairs, we are delighted to welcome you to this webinar entitled Smart Textiles for A Brilliant Future. Smart textiles represent one of the most dynamic and rapidly evolving areas in materials science, engineering and wearable technologies. By integrating textile substrates with advanced functional materials, these systems can sense, respond to, and interact with their surrounding environment, opening new possibilities in healthcare, sustainability, human–environment interaction and connected wearable platforms. This webinar features invited presentations that will share expertise and perspectives on key areas of smart textile research and application. The presentations will provide insights into medical textiles and their interactions with the physiological environment and the human body, as well as functional textiles that can adapt to surrounding environmental conditions to enhance body comfort, particularly in hot and humid environments. Together, the presentations highlight the important role of smart and functional textiles in addressing real-world challenges related to health, comfort, and environmental adaptation. As chairs, we are pleased to host this webinar and to provide a platform for knowledge exchange, discussion, and future collaboration in this important area. Thank you for joining us, and we warmly welcome you to the webinar.
