Center for RNA Medicine, Department of Clinical Medicine, Aalborg University, Copenhagen, Denmark;
Prof. Dr. Shizuka Uchida, Ph.D., is a Professor & Co-Director at the Center for RNA Medicine, Department of Clinical Medicine, Aalborg University (Copenhagen, Denmark). Prof. Uchida’s lab is interested in elucidating the functions of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) and epitranscriptomics enzymes using dry (bioinformatics) and wet (biology) lab techniques. He and his team have built a number of bioinformatics tools to help analyze high-throughput data (e.g., microarrays, RNA-seq). Prof. Uchida utilizes knockout and transgenic mice to understand the effects of lncRNAs and epitranscriptomics to cardiovascular system and development as well as cardiovascular disease.

On Tuesday 13th September 2022 , MDPI and the Non coding RNA Journal organized the 5th Webinar entitled “ The Evolutionarily Conserved miRNA-137 Modulates the Wake to Sleep Ratio”. This online seminar was chaired by Prof. Dr. Shizuka Uchida, who was joined by one world-leading scientist Dr. Anja Holm. Her presentation was followed by Q&A session moderated by the chair. Please note that the live recording has been edited for a better viewing experience.
