Abstract: Flash vacuum pyrolysis (FVP) and oxidative decarboxylation methods were used as a novel synthetic routes to dibenzobarrelene and pyrimidinobenzobarrelenes. A computational study of these reactions was conducted in order to gain more insight into the reaction mechanism.
