Ms. Judith Wu

Biography

Judith Wu joined MDPI in July 2017 as a member of the Marketing Department. During her tenure with Section Communications & Marketing (China), Judith successfully managed marketing initiatives for multiple journals, E-conferences, and the Proceedings series. Since March 2023, Judith has taken on the role of Conference Manager in the Section Conferences (Asia). Throughout her time at MDPI, she has played a pivotal role in organizing over 30 online conferences and 10 in-person conferences, serving in various capacities as organizer, coordinator, and manager.

Dr. Elena Gonzalez

Biography

Dr. Elena Gonzalez joined MDPI in June 2020. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology and master’s in Biomedical Research. She received her doctoral degree in Biomedicine in 2019 from the University of Barcelona, Spain. Her PhD focused on understanding the embryonic development of the spinal cord and associated defects which resulted in 6 peer-reviewed international publications. During her PhD, she was visiting researcher at the Center for Integrative Biology, Toulouse, France. She often combined her research with the organization of science communication activities and the planning of scientific events.

Dr. Ana Sanchis

Biography

Dr. Ana Sanchis joined MDPI in June 2020 as a Conference Organizer and served as Product Owner of Sciforum for two years. She has organized seven in-person conferences, acting as the main Conference Organizer (CO) for the successful Polymers 2024 event this year, and has supported up to ten on-site events. Her experience also includes organizing and hosting virtual conferences and webinars. In her role as CO, she mentored conference assistants in the Barcelona office and supported other newcomers to the conference team. She holds a PhD in Biotechnology from the University of Barcelona, awarded in 2018, where her research focused on developing antibodies targeting small molecules and implementing them in multiplexed, miniaturized diagnostic platforms. From 2018 to 2020, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Advanced Chemistry Institute of Catalonia (IQAC-CSIC) and also spent time as a visiting researcher at the University of Nottingham. Dr. Sanchis has contributed to several European-funded projects and is a co-author of 10 internationally recognized publications.
