Abstract

The title compounds were synthesised by furan alkylation with various 2- hydroxybenzyl alkohols. Route to various derivatives of 3-R-2-(3- oxobutyl)benzo[b]furan was shown. The synthesis of dibenzoxazulenium derivatives was attempted.
