Abstract
Organotin(IV) carboxylates have attracted much attention, owing to the enormous variety of interesting structural topologies and their ecological and biological chemistry activities. The ecological and biological chemistry of organotin(IV) carboxylates have been the subjects of interest for some time due to their increasingly extensive use in industry and agriculture. The biochemical activity of organotin carboxylates is influenced significantly by the structure of the molecule and the coordination number of the tin atoms. Herein, diorganotin(IV) complex C53H57NO8Sn2 was prepared by the reaction of triphenyltin(IV)chloride, triethylamine and 1,3,5 benzenetricarboxylic acid in 1:3:3 molar ratio in MeOH. The complex is characterized by FT-IR spectroscopy, (1H, 13C, 119Sn) NMR and X-ray single crystal diffraction. This compound crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P21/c with Z= 4. The unit cell dimensions for complex are: a =15.157(3)Å, b = 20.802(4)Å and c = 15.719(3)Å, β= 105.12(3)°. Spectroscopic data: IR (KBr, cm-1): 3296(s), 3064(s), 2678(s), 1622(s), 1429(s), 449(m) 1H-NMR (DMSO-d6, ppm) δH: 1.06(t, 3H), 2.82(q, 2H), 3.17 (s, 1H), 7.34 (d, 6H), 8.87 (m, 4H), 9.39(s, 1H) 13C-NMR (DMSO-d6, ppm) δC: 9.45, 45.36, 48.628, 127.64, 128.10, 128.57, 132.40, 135.89, 136.20, 136.51, 143.90, 168.46 119Sn-NMR (DMSO-d6, ppm) δSn: 257.47
