Abstract
As the characteristic feature and mark in science in information age, information science plays a crucial role. However, what is information and what is information science? What are the principles governing the processes of information flow? Is there any new, and meaningful methodologies supporting the study? What is the significance of the study to human society? How to promote the study of information science in the world academic community? Some of my understandings to these questions will be presented in the paper.
